Lifestyle
& Fitness Consulting
Philosophy
| Cara-Lees's
lifestyle & fitness consulting is centered on a holistic (whole
body) philosophy in health and healing. The business recognizes
that the physical, emotional and energetic components are all interconnected
and imbalances in one component affect the entire body. If the imbalance
is severe enough, or maintained by the person long enough, it will
interfere with the body's internal balance and eventually manifest
as aphysical disorder or illness. Through my consulting business,
I work to balance all components comprising the whole by offering
product and services in the following areas: holistic nutrition,
active living, wellness, numbers (pertaining to their influence
for the individual), Reiki and Touch for Health. |

Holistic
Health Practitioners understand that the body, mind and spirit
are connected in complex ways. Grounded in a variety of theoretical
perspectives, Holistic Health Practitioners share a broad view
of health and wellness that addresses the multidimensionality
of human beings. Only by examining the physical, mental, emotional,
spiritual, bio-energetic and socio-cultural dimensions of individuals
can the holistic professional support clients towards optimum
health and wellness. Modalities such as Reiki, Touch for Health
and Holistic Nutrition provide a specialized focus to a 1280 hour
course of study that empowers the student to serve as a guide,
an explorer, a teacher and a counselor to clients striving to
find balance and wellness. From self-healing practices to entrepreneurship,
the Holistic Health Practitioner program provides a comprehensive
education in the art and science of complementary health

Personal
As a Personal Fitness trainer I've worked
in the fitness industry for the past
nine years. I've been an ALFCA fitness leader for over ten years.
I graduated from the two-year Personal Training Program at Mount
Royal College in 1999. With my education and work opportunities,
I've been responsible for designing and implementing fitness programs
for my clients according to their needs and wants. Also, as a
recent graduate of the Holistic Health Practitioner Program, at
Grant MacEwan College, I now approach my clients as multi-dimensional
beings. I examine the physical, mental, spiritual, bioenergetic,
and socio-cultural dimensions of the individual and use this information
to move my client towards optimum health and well-being. I also
work collaboratively with clients, conventional practitioners,
and other holistic professionals and personal trainers, to offer
individuals a complete range of options for improving their health
and achieving their personal health goals.
